At this time of social distancing when many issues about what is important in life have come into very clear focus why not take some time to explore the Christian faith by trying Alpha online?
Our next online Alpha course starts on Thursday 14th January 2021 at 7.45pm. You can register to join the course here.
We all have questions about life, some of which may have become far more prominent as a result of the past year of the Coronavirus pandemic.
- Is this it?
- Where have I come from?
- Where am I heading?
- Who am I?
- Is there any real meaning and purpose to life?’
What is Alpha?
People have many views about Christianity – various people may think that it is boring, untrue, irrelevant or even in some cases, dangerous. We hope that the course will help you to see who Jesus really was and why these views may be misguided.
Alpha is an opportunity to share what you think and to explore these questions for yourself. There’s no pressure, come and go as you please, but be aware that each talk builds on the previous one.
Some of the topics include “Is There More to Life Than This?”, “Who is Jesus?” and “Why and How Do I Pray?”
What will happen each week?
Each week you will connect online via Zoom to join the other Alpha guests and leaders on the course. Together you will watch a 30 minute video which focuses on a different aspect of the Christian faith.
After watching the video there will be a time of discussion in a small group. This is where you will get to hear from others in your group and contribute your own perspective in an honest, open and friendly environment. The only rule is ‘Any question is allowed!’
What do I need to participate in Alpha Online?
You will need an internet connection and a device to connect with. This can be a computer, laptop, iPad, tablet or even a smart phone. It will need to have a webcam and microphone so we can see and hear you.
