Jesus Over Everything!

“Jesus over everything!”

I’m really excited about our upcoming miniseries on Paul’s letter to the Colossians, which we’ve called “Jesus over everything!”  I’ve read through the letter several times, and I’m struck again by just how amazing Jesus is!  This small letter (just four chapters) seems to have everything – the wonder of who Jesus is; the passion he inspires in prayer and action; the peace that comes by getting off the treadmill of performance, and into a life of received grace; and the amazing difference God wants to bring to our everyday lives.

But it’s also not all sunshine and rainbows – Paul is writing from prison to a hard-pressed church, and knew about struggling.  Our struggles are not a sign of failure, they’re the evidence that we’re still struggling for something that’s worth struggling for!
