Summer of Stories

Once upon a time in Lifehouse Community Church, the church spent the Summer looking at stories…

Stories work their way into our hearts, don’t they? The stories we tell one another, the stories we read or were read as children, they help shape how we look at the world. Here at Lifehouse we love telling the true stories of what God has done in our lives, how he has transformed our lives since we came to know Jesus as our Saviour. It’s good for us to tell these stories, it encourages us and builds us up to tell them and to hear them.

Jesus was a great storyteller - he told parables throughout his ministry to communicate his message to those around him, and teach his disciples about the Kingdom of God. Over the Summer we’re going to spend time looking at these stories that Jesus told. This will form a mini series over our four Sunday services in August. They will be slightly less formal, “cafe style” services, perfect for inviting family and friends along!

We’re really looking forward to looking at these stories together on Sundays, and want to be telling our stories too! So this Summer, as we gather together and explore some of the parables of Jesus, let’s be ready to share our own stories and testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives and in the life of the church.

You can find further details of our Sunday services via the calendar.
